Welcome to BEARTOOTH Mountain ASCENT
HOW DO WE HELP A STRUGGLING AT-RISK Young Man? By unfolding the young man’s mind as God created him, on a 50,000 acre working cattle ranch, located in the northwest corner of Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park.
Ranch Based Catholic Recovery
Unlike many other residential treatment centers, Beartooth Mountain Ascent offers a wilderness immersion experience that enables the young men to reconnect with nature, to develop a positive mindset, while healing their bodies and spirits. Our strength lies in using the outdoors as an instructive tool to teach valuable life lessons and in providing a person-centered system of care that will bring out the individual talents and skills of each of our clients.
Many of the young men that enter our program are at an existential crossroads where they must either make a decision to overcome the obstacles that are preventing them from realizing their dreams, or must accept the harsh consequences that are unavoidable with unhealthy lifestyle choices: loss of family relationships, health issues, criminal record, incarceration, or even death. We at Beartooth Mountain Ascent understand how demoralizing and impossible making such a positive change can seem for the young men who are at a “rock bottom,”. We have a team of highly skilled peer mentors and recovery life coaches that will walk with them as they take a leap of faith and begin to climb up out of the darkness.
Here at Beartooth Mountain Ascent we aspire to educate, or, to draw out, each young man to be the true man that God has created him to be by forming him mentally, physically, and spiritually through a “real-life therapy” environment. We will help the young man as he heals from his wounds and form him in the forge that is the heart of Christ. Through this process, the young man will re-form his moral consciousness, be taught virtue, work on mending family relationships, and ultimately, become the best version of himself; the man God created him to be.
Opioid Addiction Treatment Program
As a nation, we’re seeing unprecedented numbers of opioid abuse and overdose-related deaths. Between 2010 and 2016 heroin-related overdose deaths increased by 5 times. More than 46 people day every day from Opioid overdose. These numbers are so severe that they’re decreasing the life expectancy in America, and young men are disproportionately affected.
Don’t let your son become a statistic. Get him the help he needs for opioid addiction today.

Our Core Values
We Foster Virtue
The Christian moral life is one that seeks to cultivate and practice virtue. “A virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself” (CCC, no. 1803). An effective moral life demands the practice of both human and theological virtues. We foster virtue by living a virtuous life.
We Pursue Excellence
We pursue excellence in order to do the best we can with the gifts and abilities God has given us, giving our best for the glory of God. We believe that excellence includes doing common, everyday things, but in very uncommon ways regardless of whether people are watching. Our quest for excellence fuels our fire and keeps us from just drifting downstream gathering debris in the streams of mediocrity.
We Practice Honesty
We believe in being honest. We choose to be sincere, truthful, and without deceit at all times. When we are honest in every way, we are able to enjoy peace of mind and maintain self-respect. We build strength of character, which allows us to be of service to God and others. We are trustworthy in the eyes of God and those around us.
We Practice Self-discipline
We value Self-discipline as means of self-control, in order to help us to avoid unhealthy excess of anything that could lead to negative consequences. We choose to forgo instant or immediate gratification and pleasure, in favor of the greater good of others and to remain true to our moral conscience and love of God, even if this requires sacrifice, effort and time.
