Ranch Based Catholic Christian Transitional Sober Recovery Program

Unlike many other residential recovery programs, Beartooth Mountain Ascent offers a outdoor ranch experience that enables the young man to reconnect with nature, to develop a positive mindset, while healing his body, mind and spirit. Our strength lies in using the God's creation as an instructive tool to teach valuable life & job skills and in providing a transitional living program that will bring out the young man's talents and natural gifts.

Many of the young men that enter our transitional recovery program are at an existential crossroads where they must either make a decision to overcome the obstacles that are preventing them from realizing their dreams, or must accept the harsh consequences that are unavoidable with unhealthy lifestyle choices: loss of family relationships, health issues, criminal record, incarceration, or even death. We at Beartooth Mountain Ascent Transitional Living Program understand how demoralizing and impossible making such a positive change can seem for the young men who are at a “rock bottom,”. We have a team of highly skilled recovery life coaches that will walk with them as they take a leap of faith and begin to climb up out of the issues their unhealthy choices have created.

Our Mission

Here at Beartooth Mountain Ascent we aspire to equip each young man with the skills he needs to be the true man that God has created him to be by transforming him mentally, physically, and spiritually through a “real-life therapy” environment. We will support the young man as he heals from his wounds and form him in the forge that is the heart of Christ. Through this process, the young man will re-form his moral consciousness, be taught virtue, work on mending family relationships, and ultimately, become the best version of himself.

Long Term Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation

Beartooth Mountain Ascent is more than the typical transitional sober living program, we help young men coming out of rehab continue their recovery in a safe and healthy enviroment.  We help clients with a variety of mental health and behavioral health issues such as chronic depression, bipolar disorder, video gaming addictions, pornography and sexual addictions, as well as criminal behaviors who need continued support after rehab. As a 50,000-acre “working” cattle ranch, we offer young men exposure to a variety of vocation/technical trades skills such as carpentry, welding, heavy equipment operations, mechanics, horsemanship/horse training, and animal husbandry.

We believe that our long term residential ranch environment and western “Cowboy Culture” promotes honesty, integrity, responsibility and determination. Issues we address:

Our Core Values

We Foster Virtue

The Christian moral life is one that seeks to cultivate and practice virtue. “A virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good. It allows the person not only to perform good acts, but to give the best of himself” (CCC, no. 1803). An effective moral life demands the practice of both human and theological virtues. We foster virtue by living a virtuous life.

We Pursue Excellence

We pursue excellence in order to do the best we can with the gifts and abilities God has given us, giving our best for the glory of God. We believe that excellence includes doing common, everyday things, but in very uncommon ways regardless of whether people are watching. Our quest for excellence fuels our fire and keeps us from just drifting downstream gathering debris in the streams of mediocrity.

We Practice Honesty

We believe in being honest. We choose to be sincere, truthful, and without deceit at all times. When we are honest in every way, we are able to enjoy peace of mind and maintain self-respect. We build strength of character, which allows us to be of service to God and others. We are trustworthy in the eyes of God and those around us.

We Practice Self-discipline

We value Self-discipline as means of self-control, in order to help us to avoid unhealthy excess of anything that could lead to negative consequences. We choose to forgo instant or immediate gratification and pleasure, in favor of the greater good of others and to remain true to our moral conscience and love of God, even if this requires sacrifice, effort and time.
